Right now, the going temperature in New York City is 16°F. However, thanks to some gusty winds, it actually feels like 2°F. And this will likely last till Saturday when the mercury inches up to a cozy 32°F. In other words, all I can do right now is fantasize about packing up my bags and getting out of town. Preferably somewhere with palm trees and a ocean view. And while we’re on the subject of both fantasies and the packing of bags, look what I discovered today: Alfred Dunhill’s latest spring release—which just so happen to be some mighty fine luggage.
Inspired by some classic hunting bags found in the brand’s archives, the new collection—aptly dubbed “Escape”—features three styles in two color combos. There’s a business briefcase, a tote carryall, and a more substantial overnight bag, all made from durable cotton canvas and finished off with leather detailing and handles. There’s a lighter, more summer-y tan and brown or the more classic navy and burgundy. No matter what your choice, it’s hard to go wrong.
