While many a gal can muster up the same—if not more—spirit as fellow male sports enthusiasts when it comes to a routine Sunday football match or weeknight basketball rally, my personal investment in “watching the game” claims a rather low threshold. True, there may also be the kind of girl whose idea of partaking in televised sporting events translates to hitting the local watering hole and scoping out the scene of roaring men, but that’s never quite been my jam, either. The Olympics, however, present a whole other ballpark—or arena, if you will. So what’s a girl to wear to a viewing for the games of all games?

Obvious, but start with a little something that shows some team pride. Slip on an All-American Vetements biker jacket for a dash of patriotism or kick it up a more luxe notch with an Hermès scarf in splashy yellow, purple, and green à la Brasilia. Craving something a little more apparent? Throw a pair of jeans over a Solid & Striped monogrammed one-piece that lets everyone knows who you’re cheering for. Whatever your pick, there’s nothing a little athletic-minded garb can’t accomplish. After all, whether you’re team USA or rooting for Rio, make sure you look like you’re in it to win it.
