There are moments in the Vogue.com office when editors gravitate toward the same sparkling bijou at the same time. Earlier this summer, it was Spinelli Kilcollin’s rings and Pili Restrepo’s bracelets, but when I heard that Vogue.com Senior Fashion Editor Jorden Bickham and Vogue Contributing Editor Lauren Santo Domingo wore custom lockets from Loquet London, I couldn’t wait to share the news that the label’s cofounders Sheherazade Goldsmith and Laura Bailey would be creating earrings for their jewelry label for the first time. “The charms are modern mix-and-match studs,“ said Goldsmith, “the kind of which we’d long been searching for and want to wear every day.“ Sold as singles or pairs, the delicate earrings derive their motifs from “fairy tales, age-old totems of love and peace, and nature’s wonder,“ said Bailey. With options in solid gold or dusted with diamonds, the potential for chic mashups is endless. “My ears are pierced five times,“ she says. Adds Goldsmith: “It’s so hard to decide what my favorite combo is, but for now I think the moon and star for day and diamond XO for night.“ Charmed, indeed.
