The slick ponytails that dominated the runways and front rows of New York Fashion Week turned up across the pond at J.W.Anderson’s spring 2015 show this morning. But in true London tradition, Anderson put a hat on it—in this case, an oversize floppy leather number, its rim as curved and sinuous as an Anish Kapoor sculpture. With that in mind, backstage hairstylist Anthony Turner scraped models’ hair into the most unfussy, polished low ponytail yet this season, using L’Oréal Tecni Art Full Volume Extra Mousse and Tecni Art Pli Thermo-Fixing Spray to ensure that not even a fitted brim could knock a hair out of place.
