Carhartt Work In Progress is a collection that strikes the ideal balance between workwear and streetwear. It's not too tied to Carhartt's rugged roots, but never loses that unwavering masculine appeal that makes Carhartt one of the great All-American brands (via a distinctly European lens). For Fall-Winter 2014, the label takes familiar staples like carpenter pants, work shirts, parkas and pumps them up with a series of nature-inspired prints that range from leopard to cactus. Think leopard-print pants, subdued in navy and actually wearable, a holiday-ready fair isle sweater (that's are anything but a "holiday sweater"), and a classic chore jacket stripped down to its essentials (aside from the obligatory logo patch on the chest). It's streetwear for the guy who's sick of streetwear, but not ready to let go of his casual closet. It's a hard-working collection ready for anything—skating, nights out, even actual manual labor if you're feeling particularly brolic one day
